SOMEONE CARES
We are a community providing services to support U.S. Veterans, senior citizens, and anyone in need. Our support comes from health and wellness, along with social activities. The goal is to help every part of the mature individual physically, mentally, and spiritually.
MISSION
To improve the quality of life of the disadvantaged mature individual.
OUR STORY
The Erasto R. Batongmalaque Foundation was founded on July 26, 1995, by his eldest son, Louie Batongmalaque. He wanted to improve the quality of lives of disadvantaged mature individuals, particularly those who served in a global war. He specifically targeted the Filipino American WWII Veterans and spouses.
He, along with his sister Dr. Jenny L. Batongmalaque, worked diligently to see the Foundation grow in Carson, California. The goal was to have programs for all-inclusive care of the elderly in place so that the delivery of care can be centralized and avoid fragmentation, which can be expensive and wasteful.
Unfortunately, Louie passed away on June 6, 2000, from cancer. This brought a halt to the Foundation projects in Carson. Later, their mother passed away on April 18, 2002, from illness and old age. These events brought the rest of the family to be part of the Foundation. And so, the Foundation is still growing for the legacy of its founder, its motivator, and its inspiration.
